A most unusual diogenite, NWA 7831 is composed primarily of orthopyroxene and is quite likely the most translucent of any HED meteorite. The result of magma cooling deep within the crust of the asteroid Vesta, NWA 7831 was recovered by desert nomads. Now offered is a fine representation of an exceptional meteorite which originated from the only asteroid which can be seen with the naked eye.
