Just northeast of Bordeaux, villagers of Saint-Séverin and Allemans were visited with the sonic phenomena of multiple detonations and the whistling of meteorites speeding past just prior to their impact. Multiple specimens were recovered, the largest weighing 113kg. Exhibiting the qualities of the best Saint-Séverin specimens, this partial slice features two edges of the meteorite’s exterior surface and a patch of crust.
